Fast travel has also been disabled, while the lethality of attacks by the player character and enemy NPCs has been increased. Some of the examples of the changes include only allowing player to save when they find a bed and let their character sleep for at least one hour. Meanwhile, items have been re-balanced to prevent players from hoarding items and force them to consider their armor and weapons more carefully.
The pace of the game has also been slowed down somewhat to encourage players to explore more of the game world. The Xbox One will receive mod support in May, followed by the PS4 in June.īethesda has made combat more brutal to make players think more about when to get into battle and when to avoid it. The Fallout 4 update allows users to browse, search, favorite, and download mods straight from the in-game menu, as well as through a dedicated section on the Bethesda website. PC players received mod support in a beta update earlier this week, along with the release of Bethesda's official modding tool, the Creation Kit.
